Who are we ?

An emblematic events venue in the heart of Lyon’s Docklands and Confluence district, La Sucrière is an industrial building dating back to the 30s which was completely renovated in 2011 and is dedicated to events and cultural exhibitions

La Sucrière has this name because of its industrial past when it was used as a sugar warehouse. The three silos, emblems of the building, bear witness to this.

The venue oozes history and perfectly illustrates the fact that it is possible to preserve industrial heritage and give it a new lease of life through cultural happenings and events.

La Sucrière has been redesigned in order to be able to simultaneously host national and international art exhibitions, professional events and public exhibitions. The site benefits from Saone riverside charm and privatisable banks.

The venue is able to host exceptional events in a cultural and contemporary setting thanks to its 5,100 m² of covered spaces and a seating capacity for up to 1,500 people for seated meals, 4,000 for cocktail parties and 1,000 for conferences.
